Troll Attacks
In this category I propose we have a discussion about trolls and how to deal with them. The more popular the b-cast gets the more trolls it will have.

Thoughts?
Trolls have always been on and will continue to show up. Ignoring them usually works. Calling them out is fun sometimes though.
Even if we all had a specific method of dealing with them, other non-trolls who weren't aware of our method wouldn't know. It does seem like ignoring them is the best thing to do?
I agree ignoring them is the only effective way. Many of them are ego driven creatures and like the attention. The thing I liked about this story is that I don't think they can be ignored completely. Liz is great about banning and I hope she will continue to ban because having a troll interferes with our chat.
One thing they say to do is when you see a troll to type -- for example
yippyK = troll
and then we all ignore.
which is already done on the b cast.
But I think there are other trolls . . . borderline trolls who are trying to bait us. There are some chatters who act like they are part of the conversation but are really trolls. Liberals tend to guard their issues like trolls . . . ie get personal and defensive.
I don't know . . . I thought the above article was interesting and I find it hard to ignore trolls completely. I think it is important to debate people on the issues.
. . . blah blah
